Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of Nodeocity’s services, network, and infrastructure. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy and all applicable laws and regulations.

1. Prohibited Activities

Users may NOT use Nodeocity services for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive activity, including but not limited to:

  • Illegal activities or content distribution
  • Hacking, unauthorized access, or exploitation
  • Malware, viruses, or botnet operations
  • Spam, phishing, or fraudulent schemes
  • Copyright infringement or piracy
  • Harassment, threats, or abuse
  • Hosting or distributing harmful or malicious content

2. Network Abuse & DDoS Attacks

Nodeocity has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of network abuse, including Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks or traffic flooding.

  • Launching DDoS attacks from our network
  • Participating in DDoS attacks using our services
  • Operating botnets, stressers, or attack tools
  • Intentionally attracting attacks to our network

If your service is found to be the source of a DDoS attack, your account may be:

  • Immediately suspended or terminated
  • Preserved for forensic investigation
  • Reported to law enforcement or relevant authorities

Nodeocity reserves the right to cooperate with legal investigations and provide relevant logs, records, and data to authorities when required by law.

3. Attacks Targeting Our Network

Any attempt to disrupt, overload, or attack Nodeocity’s infrastructure, services, or customers — including DDoS attacks — will be treated as a serious security incident.

Nodeocity may investigate such incidents, preserve evidence, and pursue legal action when appropriate. We fully cooperate with law enforcement and cybersecurity authorities.

4. Resource Abuse

Users must not abuse system resources in a way that negatively impacts others, including:

  • Excessive CPU, memory, disk, or bandwidth usage
  • Intentional performance degradation
  • Running unauthorized background services

5. Content Restrictions

Users may not host or distribute:

  • Illegal or pirated content
  • Malicious software
  • Abusive or hateful material
  • Content violating intellectual property laws

6. Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in:

  • Warnings
  • Service suspension
  • Account termination
  • Data preservation for investigation
  • Legal action when applicable

Nodeocity reserves the right to take immediate action to protect our network, customers, and reputation.
